How to Get Cabinet Color Samples
When you begin your cabinet search, you’ll find that eyeballing colors and materials isn’t an easy thing to do. If you’re buying online, which provides the most variety, then there is no way you can see how the cabinets will look without a sample.
The whole point of a sample is to be able to compare colors and patterns. A swatch, or small piece of the cabinet door, often times, is not nearly enough to do that. A full door sample is large enough for you to see the entire pattern and get a good sense of how the color will play in your design.
This is the best way to match cabinets because you’re receiving an actual cabinet door in the design and color you want and can do a direct comparison. You do have to pay for a door sample, but at RTA Cabinet Store, we will refund you the amount of all your samples toward your purchase.
How to Use Cabinet Color Samples
Take your door samples and place them place them in your kitchen. You’ll easily be able to see how they look with any existing colors or designs. You’ll also be able to see how they look in the lighting of your kitchen.
Lighting can make a huge impact on color. Natural light tends reveals true color. Lightbulbs can cast other colors entirely. For instance, incandescent blubs are a bit more yellow than natural light. Fluorscent bulbs are more blue. LED bulbs come in a range of color “temperatures” so you have more control.
We recommend that you order at least three samples for comparison around a single color. If you want blue, order all the blue options. If you want gray, pick your favorite, then one lighter and one darker. Same goes for beige. You may be surprised when you find your favorites online didn’t work as well as you thought. If you’ve ordered several options, you have a better chance of finding the perfect color fit.
